Care Assistant - experienced

Job Description

At Jewel Home Support our aim is to be committed to delivering quality and personalised care while working closely with the service users and their family. We are an approved provider for the NHS and Bolton Council and provide care services for the borough of Bolton.

The care worker’s role will include

  • Assisting with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance)
  • Assisting with meal preparations
  • Assisting with administering medication
  • Assisting with moving and handling
  • Working to care plans and completing daily paperwork
  • Assisting with shopping and support to access the community
  • Assisting with light domestic duties

Skills required as a care worker

  • Self-motivated
  • Organised
  • Flexible
  • Caring and sensitive to the needs of service users
  • Team player but also be able to work on your own initiative

Driving License

Preferable – however, non-drivers will be considered for walking routes depending on experience.

Care Co-ordinator

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Co-ordinator to join our Bolton office. You will be joining a strong, reliable and reactive team. This opportunity requires a friendly, motivated and empathetic individual with the right work ethic and attributes. An experienced candidate, care coordinating in the care industry is preferred. We will provide induction training to assist the Care Co-ordinator in their position.

Responsibilities Include

  • Preparing weekly rotas for care staff
  • General office administration duties.
  • Maintaining regular telephone contact with carers and service users
  • Processing new service users and allocating care staff for visits
  • This post includes some evening and weekend on-call cover which will be on a rota basis

Requirements

  • Care Co-ordinating experience in the care industry
  • Care experience.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, written and verbal with professional telephone manner.
  • Caring, organised and highly motivated.
  • Able to work well under pressure, solving problems, hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Flexible, committed and reliable.
